Students of International Turkish Hope School participated in Gulshan Youth Club’s 9th sports Carnival-2016. There were a number of competitions; athletic sports like Balance Race, Long Jump, Run, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, alongside with Music, Chess, Art, Carom, Table Tennis. The guests of honor were Mayor Annisul Huq and Member of Parliament AKM Rahmatullah.
Students of ITHS Gulshan Preschool Section achieved tremendous glory among hundreds of participants in Gulshan Youth Carnival especially in Balance Race and Run. Among the Balance Race champions, Raina Rahman of 3 Green became 1st, Mehzad Mumtahina of 3 Red was 2nd and Fariha Binte Saleh of 3 Red with Faiza Tasnim of 5 Red took the 3rd place in Balance Race. Ahnan Edith Israt of 4 Green won the 1st place in 50m run and 2nd place in balance race, so as Simim Ahmed who was 2nd in 50 m race and 3hrd in balance race.
The students also perfected the 50-200 m run. The names of the winners are Samiha Arman who stood first in both 50 and 200 m run. Maryum from 5 green stood 2nd in 200 m run and 3rd in 50 m. Jaima Jahin of 5 Red and Shajadi Ayman of 4 Red both were 3rd in 200 and 50 m run.
Not only in outdoor or athletic sports, but the students of ITHS also showed their brilliant skills in indoor games like Chess, Carom etc. Raeeda Nawar form 5 Red took the 1st place of Carom and Vince Nathaniel Morgia form 5 Red stood 2nd in Chess.

The carnival was a great opportunity for students to explore the world of sports. Events like this help students to take a break from their regular routine and enjoy the enthusiasm. Participation in different sports is of course good for physical health and also a way to boost up their self-confidence and learn at the same time.
