The 5th Bangla Olympiad Award Ceremony

THE INTERNATIONAL TURKISH HOPE SCHOOL CONDUCTED THE 5^TH BANGLA OLYMPIAD AWARD CEREMONY AT THE DHAKA REGENCY

In a tribute to all martyrs of 1952, the International Turkish Hope School celebrates the International Mother Language Day by organizing a Bangla Olympiad every year. The Bangla Olympiad is an annual Inter-school competition arranged for the students to cultivate their interest and intellect in Bangla. In addition, the Olympiad aims to promote the rich Bengali Culture and Language among the young generation of Bangladesh.

Numerous schools and colleges of both English and Bangla medium curriculum, take part in this inter-school competition. With the involvement of prominent intellectuals, artists, linguists, academicians and media personnel, the school had organized the 5^th Inter-school Bangla Olympiad with much success.

The Award Distribution Ceremony for the Bangla Olympiad took place on 23^th February 2016 at the Dhaka Regency Hotel.

This year a total of 938 students from 31 schools with 44 branches participated in five categories:  Singing, Poem Recitation, Essay Writing, Dance and Drawing. Among all the participants, 105 of them were awarded with crests and cheques.

The Award Ceremony was honored by the presence of Honorable Chief Guest, H.E. Md. Shahriar Alam, MP, State Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Special Guest Prof. Md. Hamidul Haque, Director General, National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM).

The Principal of the International Turkish Hope School, Mr. Bedrettin Suata, presented crests of appreciation to the Honorable Chief Guest and the Special Guest for their invaluable support of the 5^th Bangla Olympiad.

The Honorable Chief Guest, Md. Shariar Alam, State Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over laptops installed with Bangla keyboards to all of the participating schools’ principals, to encourage further education of the Bangla language with the help of Technology.

The Honorable Chief Guest also, congratulated the organizers, the school management, teachers and all the participating schools for their efforts to make this grand event possible.

The program ended with the photo session followed by lunch.

Students of KG-2 took part in a voluntary project work ‘Animals  Home’, which was a part of  their science lesson. The learnt about different types of animal houses, building materials needed for constructing houses, the necessities for their homes and so forth. This activity made aimed at triggering students’ interest in the lesson.

Dear Parents, 

It is a letter to grab your attention about the car parking in front of the school and passing away while dropping off and picking up the students of ITHS.

Recently we have been experiencing much increased problem with local congestion during the school drop and pick-up times and we don’t want the issue going out of control. We are writing to you in the hope that together we can come up with a solution that not to get stuck behind lines of traffic twice every day. It is a healthy idea to cut down on congestion.

We request you to come to the school from west side (main road) and to exit by east side on Road-111.

Parents should not get out of their cars for any reason during drop off or pick up times. Our guards and lady helping hands are there to help the students to get down from the car and get in to the car.In case of getting out of the car, you’re requested to instruct your driver NOT to park on Road-111. Please remember that while parking the car (if it is necessary and urgent) you can use Road- 110 or Road-115 which are near to the school.
