Funny comments of the Week

Here in the picture given above you see the captain of the champion team” Ifty “. 
        After award ceremony was held , he came to us and asked  to keep the trophy with him at home for one day. On this lovely request teacher allowed him to take it home. But something very strange happened two days after that day. 
         One of our school teachers went to New Market in order to buy something for school. While he was wandering around he saw the trophy which was given to Ifty on the display of a shop for sale. 
          After a moment of shock Our teacher went inside and ask the shopkeeper that How did you get this trophy then the shopkeeper replied that a boy about 11 years of age had brought it and wanted to sell it to me and he said he badly needed some money. This is how we cought Ifty.

Fireball Tournament

                                                         Rabbits Are the Champions

        International Turkish Hope School (ITHS) Gulshan Junior Section arranged a ‘Fireball’ tournament from 16^th October to 19^th October 2011. Students from different classes conformed in eight teams who participated in the tournament. The teams are – Rabbits, Eagles, Butterflies, Lions, Tigers, Deer, Fishes & Penguins. The competition started with the elimination round where one winning team goes to the semi-finals. The two semi-finals were played between Rabbits vs Lions and Tigers vs Fishes. The final match was played between Rabbits vs Tigers on 19^th October 2011. 

   The Rabbits team defeated Tigers and claimed the Championship in the tournament.

Seminar with Parents of Class 1 Students

           Gulshan Junior Section of ITHS organized a ‘Seminar’ on 28^th September 2011 (Wednesday) with the ‘Parents’ of Class 1 students. Every year Gulshan Junior Section organizes this seminar with the parents of class 1 students as they are the new comers to the school. ITHS believes that it is important to introduce the teachers and parents to each other and discuss some important issues before the students start their new journey.
        During the seminar the respective teachers of class 1 introduced the books and copies to the parents, explained the exam rules and marking system, explained different indoor activities that would be performed during school hours like Learn Manners, Project Presentation, Speech, Question of the Week etc. The teachers also introduced and explained extracurricular activities of the school which are Tidiness Club, Library Club, Debate Club, Football Club, Home Activity Reporting etc.
           The parents were also been briefed on school uniform for both summer and winter as well as disciplinary rules of the school. After successful completion of the seminar the parents had a clear idea about the school environment as well as the activities their children are going to do.

        The teachers also had a brief knowledge about their new students and any special care/needs they require during their stay in the school. Overall, the seminar was very useful for the parents and the teachers.
